Under the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, federal candidates are prohibited from: 0.Spending non-federal funds on public communications promoting and supporting the candidate 0.Transferring funds from a non-federal campaign to a federal campaign (2/6)

Despite raising money under the federal committee Mullin for Congress, he continued to use funds from his state committee Kevin Mullin for Assembly 2022. He illegally used these funds to send out two mailers to congressional voters touting his accomplishments. (3/6)

His actions violated the aforementioned federal campaign laws. Considering he is a self-professed campaign finance reformer, as highlighted in one of the two mailers, showing that these violations may have been knowing and willful. (4/6)

I am committed to following campaign finance laws and to bringing San Mateo and San Francisco values – not Sacramento values – to Washington, D.C. (6/6)

Mullin using state funds to aid his federal campaign is just another example of Sacramento politicians believing the rules don't apply to them. Actions like these are exactly why I am running with campaign finance reform as a key platform. (5/6)
