Same old story we’re so sick of: they told us this project would “pay for itself.” It won’t. @GovDanMcKee sold Pawtucket and Rhode Island down the river – and literally just gave our money away to wealthy developers. A 50% electricity rate hike is outrageous. It will endanger people's lives. The PUC must block it and @SenatorRuggerio and @SpeakerShekarchi need to call a special session to pass PIPP – which will ensure low-income Rhode Islanders can afford their electricity bills. https://t.co/dJng3KtmjN

Happy Mother’s Day! I’ll always be grateful to my mom, a civil-rights and anti-war organizer, for raising me in the movement. She’s here in this picture with me on her lap, my brother, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother (center) who was a suffragette. https://t.co/3fD5N1JmT9

It was great to join @KimKulanian today to discuss the urgency of tackling rising carbon emissions, why Rhode Island needs a $19 minimum wage, and how we can build a government for the people! https://t.co/K8C5opAskE

This bill also ends the tipped minimum wage meaning that tipped workers will finally have the same minimum wage as everybody else. The current tipped minimum wage is just $3.89.
Costs of basic needs like housing and healthcare have gone up hundreds of percent while wages have basically stayed the same. This is a great thread from @bhenriesri on why Rhode Island needs a $19 minimum wage! https://t.co/gvlohwj5oU QT @bhenriesri: On Wednesday, the Labor committee is hearing a bill I introduced to raise the minimum wage to $19, end the tipped m… https://t.co/ERcYeb2TE1)

Everyone in Rhode Island’s top 1% earns over $450,000 each year. On average, the top 1% of Rhode Islanders earn over $1.2 million. There’s absolutely no reason the ultra-wealthy shouldn’t pay their fair share. We need to #Taxtherich.
In my 2018 campaign, I spoke out against the massive Medicaid cuts that have been rammed through by conservative Governors for years. I'll never stop fighting against these cruel cuts. As Governor, I will invest in, not defund our healthcare system. https://t.co/SiocSp0zjB
Years of Medicaid cuts have brought our healthcare system to the brink of collapse and now @GovDanMcKee is proposing MORE Medicaid cuts in his budget. And to nursing homes... during a pandemic! QT @Globe_RI: The situation inside R.I. nursing homes is dire again, but not because of COVID-19. https://t.co/85bdg8vCsQ)

RI's food insecurity crisis is appalling. Based on @RIFoodBank's report: 1/6 households face can't meet their needs 1/4 with children 1/3 Black households. McKee & the conservative machine have sat on $1.13b of ARPA funds for 7 months. It’s an abject, unconscionable failure.
