Inflation continues to surge and hardworking Americans continue to be punished by the Democrats’ reckless spending and tax sprees.

Real wages are not able to keep up with this skyrocketing inflation and have declined for a record 18 months under @POTUS.

Today, @BLS announced the latest CPI inflation numbers, which includes food and energy prices, surging 8.2% last month. It is also the highest core level since 1982.

In my meeting with @ZelenskyyUa we discussed what more America can do to support Ukraine, including by providing more military assistance to Ukrainian soldiers and tightening sanctions on Russia.

I was pleased to visit Africa this week, where I visited five countries in 7 days to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the Unites States and Africa at a time when China and Russia are both showing new interest.

Putin’s attempt to divide @NATO has failed and over Russia’s objections, and I was proud to join my Senate colleagues in ratifying Finland and Sweden’s @NATO membership application tonight.

I have been pushing the full Senate to confirm their #NATO membership and am pleased the Senate acted today.

I was proud to help lead efforts in the Senate to pass this legislation. This bill will ensure @intel’s semiconductor plant in central #Ohio remains on track and reaches its full potential.

The passage of the CHIPS Act this week is a huge win for #Ohio and for our national security. This is the first step to bringing semiconductor manufacturing back to the U.S. which will create thousands of high-paying jobs in #Ohio.

By removing the cap on the Reforestation Trust Fund, my #REPLANT Act will provide the resources to help plant 1.2 billion trees over the next decade.

Healthy and resilient forests capture carbon, support biodiversity, and protect communities by helping to reduce the risk of wildfire and other catastrophic events.

However, Russia has a shameful history of breaking its int’l agreements, even humanitarian ones like these. The US must remain alert for any potential violations of this agreement by Russia.
