Our parent grant (#U01HD060488-01, 'BDADs for Male Contraception') hypothesized that BDADs such as WIN 18,446 inhibit spermatogenesis by inhibiting the testicular enzyme ALHD1a2, which converts retinal to retinoic acid. Work in our cell-based ALDH1a2 as
