Medicare Coverage of Infectious Diseases Therapy Act of 1997 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide for Medicare coverage of antimicrobials administered to patients parenterally. Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish practice guidelines for the appropriate use of such antimicrobials.
