Bill Summary

Juvenile Rape in Prison Protection Act of 1997 - Amends the Federal criminal code to: (1) require a sentence of life in prison for any adult who commits aggravated sexual abuse upon a Federal prisoner under 18 years old, except in the case of an attempt; and (2) provide an affirmative defense when the defendant reasonably believed that the victim had attained such age.
