Bill Summary

Veterans Equipped for Success Act of 2013 - Directs the Secretary of Labor to carry out a three-year pilot program to assess the feasibility and advisability of providing subsidies to employers employing eligible individuals in order to provide such individuals with valuable work experience, increase their skills, and assist them in obtaining long-term employment. Makes eligible for such program an individual who:

  1. is a veteran who was discharged or released from service under conditions other than dishonorable,
  2. is a member of the reserves who served on active duty for more than 180 consecutive days during the two-year period ending on the date of participation in the program,
  3. is between the ages of 18 and 34 or 55 and 64,
  4. is not in receiving compensation through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) due to unemployability,
  5. is not enrolled in a federal or state job training program, and
  6. is considered by the Secretar...
