Energy Efficiency Free Market Act of 2016 This bill amends the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to eliminate the Department of Energy's authority to set energy-efficiency and water conservation standards for consumer and commercial appliances. All existing standards are repealed. Additionally, the bill prohibitsstatesfrom setting their own energy-efficiency and water conservation standards.All existing state standards are nullified.
