Seeking consideration of ADs as a required, or at minimum strongly encouraged, added benefit to Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. Support proposals to incentivize Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries and federal employees through FEHBP to create and store a digital AD. Endorsed legislation, the Medicare Choices Empowerment & Protection Act (S. 1503/HR 3181 last Congress), introduced by Senators Coons & Cassidy & Reps Black, Thompson, Welch, and Collins, to provide a one-time financial incentive to Medicare beneficiaries who voluntarily register an advance care plan.
