• Monitored the FY2011 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill (H.R.5850, S.3644) and the FY2011 Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill- for funding for Indian programs and services, including local projects. Monitored the FY2011 Budget request for tribal economic development, transportation, and environmental protection and restoration programs.
• Monitored legislative and regulatory activity related to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
• Legislation to modify leasing provisions for lands held by certain Indian Tribes (H.R.4401, S.2906). Prevent all Cigarette Trafficking Act (PL 111-117).
• Tracked funding for the Upper Columbia United Tribes and related habitat protection and restoration activities.
• Monitored the Surface Transportation Authorization Act of 2009, including high priority project requests. Issues related to a local transportation project.

It can be tricky to figure out how much an organization spent on a particular lobbying engagement. The law only requires lobbyists to report the amount they were paid for federal lobbying each quarter rounded to the nearest $10,000—and if it's less than $3,000 in a given quarter (or less than $13,000 for organizations with in-house lobbyists), they don't have to disclose it at all. Plus, some organizations include spending that doesn’t belong in the report—for instance, money spent lobbying state governments or other legal work.
