  • We are advocating for a statutory change to U.S. Customs and Border Protection rules that currently are exposing Americans' data when they move abroad. We are lobbying lawmakers in support of H.R. 2521/S. 1302, the Moving Americans Privacy Protection Act.
  • We have lobbied the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to expedite the release of the Household Goods Consumer Protection Working Group report, the result of a working group formed in response to a provision in the FAST Act. The in-person meetings are done, and we met with FMCSA to get briefed on its progress. We have also met with various Congressional offices to evaluate future options to include potential legislative language in a highway bill to codify these recommendations. No language has been introduced.
  • U.S. Transportation Command (USTC), within DoD, is pushing to outsource the management of the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3) to sole source providers. We have lobbied Congress to examine this decision and USTC's process carefully. We are briefing congressional offices on its progress and are monitoring the impact of the legislative language we secured in the recent NDAA to advance studies on the proposal.
