  • American Innovation in Manufacturing Act (Public Law 116-260) regarding HFC phasedown. ACCA supports a safe transition for contractors and consumers alike, given the flammable nature of A2L refrigerants, which will be replacing HFCs in the marketplace. ACCA also supports an orderly transition in order to minimize market disruptions. ACCA lobbied for a one year sell-through period for products that use R410a refrigerant. ACCA supported H.R. 2868, the Association Health Plans Act which would allow associations like ACCA to provide health plans to members. ACCA supported S. 1706 which would make permanent the 199A tax deduction for S-corporations, also referred to as 'pass-through entities'. ACCA opposed DOE's decision to sunset ENERGY STAR for central air conditioning units and gas fired furnaces. ACCA signed on to letters regarding Department of Labor and Treasury's proposed overtime rule regarding white collar exemptions as well as OSHA's 'walkaround rule' regarding safety inspections. ACCA is concerned with the impact these rules will have on its membership.
  • ACCA submitted comments to IRS regarding the 25C tax credit and compliance with HVAC systems. ACCA also met with representatives from the Department of Treasury to discuss compiling informational resources for HVAC contractors on the 25C tax credit.
  • ACCA participated in meetings with DOE and industry stakeholders to discuss future generations of refrigerants, otherwise referred to as "A3" or "natural" refrigerants. ACCA supported S.J.Res.58 and H.J.Res.111 which would overturn DOE's rule restricting consumer access to non-condensing furnaces.
  • ACCA opposed the nomination of Secretary Julie Su as Secretary of Labor on the basis that it would harm small businesses and independent contractors.
  • ACCA supported H.R. 2868, the Association Health Plans Act. This bill would allow associations like ACCA to provide health plans to members.
  • ACCA opposed the expansion of the overtime exemption for white collar workers proposed by DOL and treasury. ACCA opposed the updates to safety inspections by OSHA that would allow third party representatives to be present on safety inspections without the consent of business owners. ACCA opposed the Joint Employer Rule put forward by the NLRB. ACCA supported H.J.Res.98/S.J.Res.49 which would nullify the rule.
