• EMC and the client met with various agencies to discuss the needs of the city. We met with Congressman Tony Gonzalez's office, USDA SBA, VA, FEMA, and US Army Corps of Engineers so that the agencies and the Congressman are aware of the needs of Castroville TX.
• The Castroville Municipal Airport has a waiting list of individuals that have their own private plane and are waiting for a place to store them in a hanger. The City has applied for a USDA loan to build a hanger but the city would like to meet the demand and eventually extend the runway.
• Any assistance to veteran aviators or grants that can help veterans transition to civilian life.
• Grants are available for infrastructure, hanger projects, and housing.

It can be tricky to figure out how much an organization spent on a particular lobbying engagement. The law only requires lobbyists to report the amount they were paid for federal lobbying each quarter rounded to the nearest $10,000—and if it's less than $3,000 in a given quarter (or less than $13,000 for organizations with in-house lobbyists), they don't have to disclose it at all. Plus, some organizations include spending that doesn’t belong in the report—for instance, money spent lobbying state governments or other legal work.
