AbbVie

Based in suburban Chicago, AbbVie was created in January 2013 when Abbott Laboratories spun off its pharmaceuticals business. In May 2012, Abbott pleaded guilty and agreed to pay $1.5 billion to settle accusations about its promotion of the drug Depakote for uses not approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

AbbVie began reporting payments for speaking, serving on a data monitoring board, research, meals, travel and educational items as of July 2012. AbbVie combines all categories into a single amount.
