Ovscience

Dr. Sinclair served on the Scientific Advisory Board for Ovascience and was compensated for his services. As of October 28, 2017, he is no longer on the SAB. We will manage this relationship until the next annual update. We have been managing his financial interest in Ovascience for this award and its predecessor grant due to its potential overlap. This study is examining SIRT1 as a regulator of disease and aging in mice and cells. OvaScience has both licensed IP from HMS related to NMN and NAD boosting molecules. It focuses on exploring the effect NMN has on mitochondrial function. Dr. Sinclair may test the effect of NMN on mice and oocytes in this project which may be of interest to Ovascience. Additionally, Ovascience is looking to raise NAD+ levels to treat diseases, which would increase the activity of SIRT1.
