As required by CM-35, Dr. Gilpin disclosed that he owns (b)(4) shares in Glauser Life Sciences, Inc. The current value of his shares is (b)(4). Listed Research Project
Traumatic stress increases alcohol drinking via endocannabinoid disinhibition of basolateral amygdala

Project Narrative Humans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are more likely to develop alcohol use disorder (AUD) than the general population, and AUD is the most commonly co-occurring mental health disorder in humans with PTSD. This co-morbid condition has staggering costs for society, but the biological basis for excessive alcohol drinking by humans with PTSD is not understood. This proposal will examine individual differences in traumatic stress effects on specific brain circuits in male and female alcohol drinkers, and will manipulate those circuits to test their role in post-stress escalation of alcohol drinking.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.

Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.

ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
