Biological Properties of HIV-1 V3 Evolutionary Variants
Project Narrative Analysis of HIV-1 genomic sequences provides insight into evolutionary mechanisms, the presence of drug resistance mutations, and dynamic changes over time. As sequencing technologies change our ability to examine sequences for new types of information increases. Thus with each advancement in sequencing technology the question of viral sequence populations must be revisited to learn about new features of the biology of this important human pathogen. In addition, it is essential that these new technologies be operationalized for use in clinical care.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.
