Quantification of HIV-1 Splicing Phenotypes and the Role of RNA Structure and Splice Regulator Elements
HIV-1 RNA splicing is a complex and incompletely understood process. Previous attempts to quantify splicing patterns have used artificially contrived systems that are complicated and labor intensive. This application presents a new tool that combines deep sequencing with Primer ID to give a straightforward, inexpensive, and relatively rapid quantification of HIV-1 splice patterns in the context of viral infection.
