My involvement with Novus Therapeutics is changing from being an advisor to a part-time employment as consultant/medical director. My commitment with Novus will be at 13% effort. I will be reducing my employment at UTMB to a part time position, with paid effort at UTMB to 73%. My duties with Novus will be the following: 1. Support and guide Novus by providing strategic medical/scientific input to the Global Development Plans (GDP) and the Clinical Development Plans (CDP), including clinical trial synopses and protocols. 2. Collaborate with the Novus clinical team and external vendors/consultants by serving as Novus’ medical/scientific resource to support implementation of the CDP. 3. Provide expert medical input in safety adjudication committee activities (e.g. clinical trial Data Safety Monitoring Committees), as needed. 4· Review scientific communications (e.g. abstracts, publications, presentations) for Novus sponsored studies.

My current annual full-time UTMB salary is $200,000. This will drop to $146,000 in order to reduce my commitment to UTMB to 73%.
