Equity Interest - Non-publicly traded entity ( e.g., stock, stock option, or other ownership interest)

MDDX provides services to perform research applications and solutions for clinical trials and performs imaging informatics to facilitate the management of multicenter, international clinical trials in the Weill Cornell Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging. MDDX is a nonpublicly traded entity. Dr. James Min is the co-founder of MDDX with (b)(4) ownership and he is also the director of the Dalio Institute. Dr. Min is using MDDX's services for this research project. While MDDX's services are not the subject of the research, it is providing services to facilitate the performance of the research such as de-identifying data and could be seen as affecting the conduct of the research creating a perceived conflict of interest for Dr. Min.

Listed Research Project
Gender-Specific Coronary Plaque Characteristics and Risk of Myocardial Infarction

For women and men who are at risk of developing heart attacks, the study of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has traditionally been focused on severity of blockages, rather than coronary plaque characteristics, or the makeup of blockages in heart arteries. Computed tomography (CT) scans of the heart now allow for non-invasive evaluation of coronary plaque characteristics. This study will evaluate the specific makeup of coronary plaque by gender and determine its relationship to risk of future heart attacks, which may redefine the diagnostic approach to women and men with suspected CAD.

Notes: When a more specific filing date is not available for an individual financial disclosure or conflict of interest form, we use the year the form was filed. If the year was not disclosed, we report the range of years covered by our public records requests. In a few cases, a start date was provided instead of a filing date. In those cases, we use the start date instead.

Fewer than 10% of records from the University of Florida and fewer than 1% of records from the University of Texas system were removed because they did not contain enough information.

ProPublica obtained additional financial disclosures and conflict of interest forms that we have not yet digitized and added to the database. You can download those disclosures in the ProPublica Data Store.
