There are some very big decisions for Democrats coming up in the next few weeks.

How many last-minute organizers can we put on the ground in the battleground states? How many calls can we make to get folks to the polls for President Obama and Democrats?

Those decisions are being made in the next week or two, not next month.

And the answers hinge on you, This month's FEC deadline is at midnight. Can you chip in right now?

I know we send you a lot of emails, but this is important.

When the clock strikes midnight tonight, this critical fundraising deadline will be over -- and this game will be set.

I believe there should be balance in your life -- normally. But today's the last day before the biggest FEC fundraising deadline of this election so far.

So even though it's my birthday, my husband and son will be dining on their own tonight. And I'm here at the office, sending this email and hoping you'll respond before midnight. No complaints -- I'm happy to be here. This is important.

That deadline is a few hours away. Can I count you in for $X or more?

We've got a month left to sprint to the finish, and do everything possible to help Democrats win.

People are working SO incredibly hard across the country because, if Mitt Romney wins, that's a victory for Karl Rove, Sheldon Adelson, and the Koch brothers.

And it would be a crushing, scary defeat for women, for our children, for veterans, college students, and anyone who works hard to retire with the benefits they've earned. Or anyone who's sick or whose children depend on affordable health care. In short, pretty much all of us.

So please, if you can, chip in now. Tomorrow we've got to make some tough calls about what races we can and can't lean into, and your help right now could make the difference:

Tonight is the most important fundraising deadline of this election so far, and it's time for us all to step up.

How much we raise before midnight tonight will determine the resources we have heading into the final month of this election. It will determine how many doors we can knock on, how many TV ads we can run, and whether we have what we need to get every voter we can to the polls between now and Election Day.

The way we win is by doing this together, each of us stepping up to do our part.
