Re: The end?

The answer to the President's question is "Hell no, it isn't the end!"

Our opponents want to close the book on the Obama White House and everything it represents -- all that we've built together and all the progress we'll continue to make together.

We can't let that happen. Donate $X or more now:

It's August 23rd. And 75 days from now, I'll either be looking at another four years in the White House -- or the end of this opportunity.

I know what's at stake for the parents worrying about health care, the kids who need help to go to college, and the seniors who want a secure retirement.

But we're getting outspent by wide margins in critical battleground states -- and what we do about that today could be the difference between winning and losing on November 6th.

So as we near one of the last fundraising deadlines of this campaign, I'm asking you to pitch in $X right now:

Last call: Apply to be a fall organizing fellow

Obama for America

Growing up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, my grandfather was a local union president. My parents worked for decades at a nearby grocery store, and now, my dad is experiencing the revival of Ohio's auto industry firsthand -- business is booming at the car dealership where he works today.

President Obama has done a lot for my family, and for my hometown in Northeast Ohio, just as he has for Wisconsin -- so I decided to pay it forward: I became an Obama organizing fellow.

You can, too -- and during the most critical moment in this election. Apply now for a fall organizing fellowship in Wisconsin.

The job of an organizing fellow is tough, rewarding, exhausting, and exhilarating. I know I'm making a difference every day when I'm out there talking with voters -- and now, we're racing the clock to November 6th.

A typical day? It's anything from setting up a voter registration table in the park, to knocking on doors in a local neighborhood, to logging your data back at the office, to managing a phone bank that night -- and then getting up the next day to do it all again.

These positions are unpaid, but you'll get some great experience, and you'll have an incredible amount of responsibility -- especially when you think about the decisive role Wisconsin is going to play in this election. The issues you're passionate about, from LGBT equality to affordable health care, are on the line -- and it's up to you to make sure that as many voters as possible in cities and towns across Wisconsin cast a ballot this fall.

There's a lot to do -- and the next few months are going to be really exciting. You should be a part of this.

So, are you ready to take the next step?

Re: This is critical:

When I'm out there talking to voters, we talk about what we've done, what we plan to do over the next four years, and why the other guys have dangerous plans to go back to the policies that failed America for almost a decade.

But there is another question that keeps coming up, and you need to know about it: "Why do I see so many more ads for the other guys?"

You don't need me to tell you that the Romney campaign is outraising us -- that billionaire ideologues and corporate interests are piling on tens of millions more in negative ads trashing us, and that all of it means that

misleading, negative attacks at a rate almost twice as often as they hear from us.

Last week, when I was in Iowa, voters told me they were feeling it. The numbers back it up: Our side is getting outspent 2-to-1 on the air there.

But the folks asking me about this don't want an explanation -- they want to know what I'm going to do about it.

And the fact is that solving this problem is up to you.

Close the gap on the air by making a donation of $X or more now.

You're getting this email because you know what the stakes are in this election. You know the facts about what we've done to prevent a deeper crisis and to start building an economy that works for the middle class.

But for someone who's not as engaged, these ads may be an important and possibly even primary source of information about the choice in this election.

So it's a bad situation if 90 percent of them are false, negative attacks on us.

We're losing this air war right now.

I don't have as much time to campaign this time as I did in 2008, so this whole thing is riding on you making it happen.

Donate now to close the gap on the air:

Are you kidding me?

You have got to be kidding me. Yesterday, Mitt Romney said, and I quote:

"No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

This actually makes me feel sick when I think about it what it means when the leader of the Republican Party, a presidential candidate, stoops to this level.

The scariest part? His comment was met with cheers. It certainly fired up the extreme "birther" elements of the Republican base.

This has to stop, and it has to stop now. There's only one way to do that by making sure President Obama and Democrats across the board win on Election Day.

Donate $X or more now to give Democrats the resources they need to cut through this crap and do what it takes to win in 73 days:
