Obama for America

Thank you, [name]

I've seen our grassroots operation in Ohio, North Carolina, Colorado, and other states where it could all come down to a handful of votes.

It's just so inspiring.

The only thing that can stop us is if we don't have the resources it'll take to keep going strong when it matters the most.

Chip in $X or whatever you can now, and show Barack you're in this all the way -- until the end. When you do, you'll be automatically entered for the chance to meet Barack and be front and center in Chicago on Election Night:

If we all throw our hearts into this, I know we'll win.

Pretty or plain, heavy or thin, gay or straight, poor or rich

I am not writing to you as a black voter, or a woman voter, or as a voter who is over 70 years old and six feet tall. I am writing to you as a representative of this great country -- as an American.

It is your job to vote. It is your responsibility, your right, and your privilege. You may be pretty or plain, heavy or thin, gay or straight, poor or rich.

But remember this: In an election, every voice is equally powerful -- don't underestimate your vote. Voting is the great equalizer.

Voting has already begun in some states that President Obama needs to win. So please use this handy tool to make sure your friends in those key states know where to cast their ballot. You will be doing them a great favor:

[url]

As a country, we can scarcely perceive the magnitude of our progress.

My grandmother and my uncle experienced circumstances that would break your heart. When they went to vote, they were asked impossible questions like, "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" When they couldn't answer, they couldn't vote.

I once debated with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. about whether an African American would ever be elected president. He believed it would happen within the next 40 years at the time -- I believed it would never happen within my lifetime.

I have never been happier to have been proven wrong.

And since President Barack Obama's historic election, we've moved forward in courageous and beautiful ways. More students can afford college, and more families have access to affordable health insurance. Women have greater opportunities to get equal pay for equal work.

Yet as Rev. King wrote, "All progress is precarious."

So don't sit on the sidelines. Don't hesitate. Don't have any regrets. Vote.

Go, rise up, and let your friends and family in early vote states know where they can vote today. We must make our voices heard:

[url]

Your vote is not only important. It's imperative.

Pennsylvania and a handful of other states are going to decide this election. Every vote counts, and you probably have friends and family who need a friendly reminder. Use our Facebook app to ask your friends in Pennsylvania and other battleground states to commit to vote today:

And please read Dr. Angelou's note below and forward it far and wide. Inspire everyone you know to vote. - Obama for America

Come to Nevada

Obama - Biden --

Neighbors pitching in to support President Obama is what our grassroots campaign is all about.

Now, with just 13 days left until Election Day, I'm asking Californians like you to bring your strength and enthusiasm over to Nevada to lend a hand alongside organizers here.

Watch our new video about why Nevada matters in this election, then pledge to come out here -- for a day, a week, or through November 6th:

Come to Nevada

We've been organizing hard here, but there's a lot more we can do if you and other folks from California come knock on doors, register voters, and help get communities in Nevada ready to vote.

As a key battleground state, Nevada's six electoral votes are going to play a huge role in this election. We'll need everyone fired up and ready to go if we're going to repeat our success in 2008.

Pledge to come out to Nevada, and we'll take care of the rest, connecting you with the volunteer opportunities that can make the biggest difference on the ground:

Now, let's go win Nevada!

Obama - Biden --

In Monday night's 90-minute debate focused on foreign policy and wars abroad, Mitt Romney failed to mention our veterans even once.

Maybe we shouldn't be surprised -- dismissing veterans is just par for the course for Governor Romney. He didn't mention our troops abroad in his nomination acceptance speech, and when he dismissed nearly half our country as people who see themselves as "victims," that included veterans who are receiving the benefits they've earned.

Someone who wants to be commander in chief should honor and respect the sacrifice our veterans have made, both in word and in deed.

Check out this video on how President Obama has done just that -- then pass it along:

President Obama has consistently put veterans first, expanding their educational opportunities and helping them get the health care and benefits they've earned. He'll continue to fight for all those who served, no matter when or where.

After six years of running for president, Mitt Romney has proven that he just doesn't get it when it comes to America's veterans.

Make sure all of your friends and family know which candidate is looking out for veterans and their families. Pass along this video and spread the word:

ALERT: Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock just announced his view that pregnancy from rape “is a gift from God.”

Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock believes rapes resulting in pregnancy “is something that God intended to happen,” and polls show him ahead by one point with only 13 days left. We must defeat him.

If you don't act immediately, Mourdock's vile agenda will get to the U.S. Senate. If he wins, it would likely give Republicans the majority, making Mourdock the tie-breaking vote on denying women contraception and banning rape victims from the right to choose.

Denounce Mourdock's view that rape pregnancies “are something God intended” immediately: Add your name to make sure he is defeated!

We are 13 days and one polling point away from having Mourdock's revolting views in the Senate.

Please sign the petition to denounce Mourdock's disgusting views immediately [url]

BREAKING: Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock announces revolting belief that rape pregnancies are “a gift…that God intended to happen.”

Another Tea Party Republican just showcased his sickening view on rape.

What's worse? Mourdock is winning the Indiana Senate race by one point with only 13 days to go. If Mourdock wins, the Republicans will take over the Senate—and he'll be the tie-breaking vote to deny contraception and ban pregnant rape victims from the right to choice.

We've already spent $X.1 million to fight Mourdock, and are completely committed to defeat him. But Republicans have outspent us 3-to-1, so we're going to match your contribution 3-to-1. Help us increase our spending with by $X million inemergency funding in the next 48 hours.

Can you make an emergency $X gift? We'll immediately spend it to ensure Mourdock's disgusting view that rape pregnancies are “a gift…that God intended” never gets to the U.S. Senate. We'll triple match it for the next 48 hours only.

It's despicable: Republicans are doing everything possible to make Mourdock a Senator. Paul Ryan begged voters, “please, please send us Richard Mourdock.” And, Romney still refuses to pull his ad endorsing Mourdock.

Make sure Mourdock's belief that rape pregnancy is “a gift…that God intended” never, ever gets to the Senate. Contribute $X immediately—we'll match it 3-to-1, and your $X will equal $X [url]

50%

Breaking from The Washington Post: As Karl Rove hits eight races with his biggest attack campaign ever, our odds of keeping the Senate have now dropped below 50%.

If Rove goes unanswered in the next 48 hours, Republicans will win the four seats they need to control the Senate. Just look at today's deadlocked races: Up one in Virginia and Ohio, down two in Wisconsin and four in Indiana.

By midnight Friday, we must put $X million into our “Stop the Takeover” fund. Can you give $X before this critical deadline? We'll immediately send it to Senate battlegrounds like Virginia and Ohio. This is so important that we'll match your gift 3-to-1 for the next 48 hours only.

Your time to make an impact is running out. Please put $X in the “Stop the Takeover” fund immediately. We'll match it 3-to-1 [url]

Quick polling update on the fight for the Senate: Virginia: we're up 47-46, Nevada tied 44-44, Indiana: tied 45-45. And implausibly, 12 races are still within the margin of error.

But The Washington Post reports that Karl Rove has moved $X million into eight Senate battlegrounds, and now our chances of holding the Senate are less than 50% with 13 days to go.

If we can't match Rove in the next two days, Republicans will win the four seats they need to take over the Senate.

We need to raise $X million for our “Stop the Takeover” fund by Friday at midnight. Can you give $X right now? We'll immediately send it to Senate battlegrounds like Virginia and Ohio. This is so important that we'll match your gift 3-to-1 for the next 48 hours only.

Rove's plan could hand Republicans the Senate, and the power to repeal everything President Obama has achieved.

If you don't want Republicans to win the Senate majority, you must contribute $X right now. It will be matched 3-to-1 for 48 hours only, and your $X will equal $X: [url]

NEW SENATE POLLS: MA: 49-47, AZ: 42-43, VA: 47-46. We must win these races! Give before midnight and we'll match it 3-to-1!

This is real, people. Our majority hangs by a thread.

There are 11 races in the margin of error – ELEVEN! I've never seen so many seats that could be decided by a few dozen votes.

Republicans only need 4 seats to take over. That's why Karl Rove is spending $X million to slam good Democrats in Ohio, Nevada, Wisconsin and the five other closest states. He wants to bury us and snatch away the Senate.

We'll lose the Senate unless you help put $X million into our“Stop the Takeover” fund – and in the next 12 hours. It's do or die time.

36 hours until our biggest deadline yet. Can you give $X to “Stop the Takeover” right away? We'll match it 3-to-1 and I promise we'll spend it on the races that need it most.

If you don't give, and give now, I'm worried we'll lose the Senate.

With just 12 days left, the clock is ticking down. You're running out of time to swing votes and win Senate seats. It all comes down to what you do in the next 12 hours. Don't wait.

Less than two weeks away

Election Day is less than two weeks away. In 2008, 31% of voters cast their ballot before Election Day. You can make a direct impact on the outcome of this election by volunteering or contributing today through Election Day to turn out the vote for Mitt Romney. Every vote and every voice matters in this election. Supporters like you have joined our cause and transformed our campaign into a record-breaking national movement. Over 119,000 volunteers have made nearly 45 million voter contacts, including over 9 million door-to-door voter contacts. We know times are tough and time is limited, so we appreciate all that you've done thus far to knock on doors, make phone calls, or contribute to our campaign. But we can't stop now. We are so close to the finish line, and we need all hands on deck. Act now, because we can't afford four more years like the last four years. Unlike President Obama who hasn't laid out a vision for the future, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a plan for a real recovery. Help us deliver a victory on November 6th. Please [url] contribute today or sign up to [url] make phone calls to crucial swing state voters. Every effort counts these next two weeks. We need to give it everything we have to finish strong.

What he said... (you'll never believe who's back him)

In last night's Indiana Senate debate, Republican candidate Richard Mourdock declared, "Even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen."

Mourdock's comments are despicable and demeaning to women.

But get this: the day before Mourdock uttered these terrible remarks, Mitt Romney announced his endorsement of Mourdock. He even released an ad backing Mourdock, the only ad that Romney has cut for a Senate candidate in this election!

Will you help us reach 100,000 strong calling on Mitt Romney and Republican Leaders to denounce Mourdock's candidacy and pull down their ads immediately? Add your name here [url]

Republicans' heinous views on rape are not slips of the tongue. It's what they believe.

Mitt Romney's running mate Paul Ryan voted with Todd Akin to redefine rape. Over the last two years, Republicans repeatedly voted to defund Planned Parenthood and restrict women's access to health care.

If Republicans have their way, the next four years could be a horrendous return to 1950's social policy toward women.

Help us call them out:

Latest polls:

Alan --

The latest polls show that we can win a Democratic majority in Congress for President Obama -- but it'll be razor-close.

That's why we have to get behind Illinois Democratic candidate Major General retired Bill Enyart right now. Bill's running against a Tea Party Republican in a swing district that could determine who will win the House.

We can win this critical race -- but only if Bill can fight off all the attacks coming his way from Republican Super PACs. With 13 days left until the election, Republicans plan to dominate the airwaves with misleading attacks on Bill and President Obama.

Will you help Bill raise $X in the next 24 hours to fight back? Donate $X or more right now to help him fight back.

The polls are deadlocked -- so this race could come down to just a few hundred votes. We don't want to look back on Election Night and wonder what could have been if we'd fought harder against Eric Cantor and Karl Rove's Super PACs.

There's just too much at stake.

Help Bill close the spending gap before tomorrow's ad buy deadline: Chip in $X to his campaign today

Thanks for stepping up,

Some news:

We've got some news for Mitt Romney: We won't let your Super PAC allies bury us in the final days of this election!

Over the last 36 hours, more than 36,000 of you have stepped up to help us fight the Republicans' "11th hour" ad blitz -- that's incredible!

We need 24,000 more donations by this week's ad buy deadline to put our own ads on the air, call out their lies and get the facts out to voters.

Support President Obama's agenda: Chip in $X or more to fight Republican attacks before this week's ad buy deadline.

As offensive as it gets

Last night in the Indiana senatorial debate, Republican Richard Mourdock said that when a woman becomes pregnant as the result of rape, "it's something God intended."

One day earlier, Mitt Romney, the leader of the Republican Party, appeared in a TV ad supporting Mourdock's campaign, making him the only candidate in the entire country for whom Romney cut an ad in the general election. The fact that he has chosen Mourdock as the best representative for the Republican Party tells you everything you need to know.

And Governor Romney still won't back off his endorsement of Mourdock, let alone demand that Mourdock's campaign pull down the ad.

Yes, these are the kinds of candidates that we're working so hard to defeat in less than two weeks. But we can't do it unless Democrats across the country have the resources they need to win -- donate $X or more now.

As hard as it may be to believe that a politician in 2012 actually believes something so offensive and demeaning to women, these views are part and parcel of the Republican Party's platform on women's health.

At a Mourdock rally earlier in this election, Romney said, "This is a man who I want to see in Washington, to make sure that we can not just talk about changing things, but actually have the votes to get things changed."

This man could be your president-elect in 14 days.

As a woman and a mother, I can't imagine raising my son in a country led by politicians who think so little of women and their health. And I'm going to work as hard as I possibly can every single day to make sure that we beat these guys on Election Day -- but I can't do it alone.

Donate $X or more now to ensure that the GOP's backwards views on women's rights don't become a reality:
