June is here -- so let me be the first to wish you a Happy Pride!

This year, there's even more to celebrate than the last -- with

President Obama affirming his personal support for marriage

equality, and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" finally coming to an end.

Here's a great tool we've put together to help you spread the word

on the progress we've made for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and

transgender equality: an interactive timeline of the progress we've

made since President Obama took office.

It's pretty amazing to see it all laid out -- from the President's

first months in office right up until now. And when you look, I'll

bet you'll see at least one thing on there that you didn't know had

happened.

There are videos, too. One of my favorites is of the President's

speech last October, where he said: "Every single American -- gay,

straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender -- every single American

deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law and in the

eyes of our society. It's a pretty simple proposition."

Now juxtapose that with Mitt Romney's support of a federal marriage

amendment that would change the Constitution to discriminate against

and deny rights to Americans for the first time in history. He even

signed a pledge with an anti-LGBT group, promising to oppose the

freedom of loving same-sex couples to wed.

This timeline is one of the best ways to show your friends and

family just how many steps forward we've taken -- and exactly how

much is at risk in November.

So as you're getting ready to go out and enjoy the Pride

celebrations this summer, make sure you take a few minutes to check

out the timeline, and share it with at least five people you know

who care about equal rights:
