Issue:
Veteran/Employee's friend called crisis line to request a wellness check. Security assistant that handled call knew the Veteran/Employee from childhood. The security assistant contacted another mutual friend and shared condition and requested that friend to call the Veteran/Employee to make sure he was ok.
Outcome:
06/12/13: The Veteran/Employee will receive a HIPAA letter of notification.
