One year ago today, we learned that 17 young people & educators lost their lives to gun violence during a high school shooting in #Parkland. It's a somber reminder that we must protect our communities from gun violence. It's why I support #HR8. #NotOneMore https://t.co/OU1T1NRUcf

Last week, I sent a letter to CMS laying out my concerns how new work requirements will hurt Michiganders. We filed a motion to join 19 other states in defending the Affordable Care Act in federal court. Hundreds of thousands of Michiganders' health care is on the line. #MISOTS19

Wesley A. Brown entered the Naval Academy in 1945. While African-American students had enrolled since Reconstruction, discrimination forced them out. LCDR Brown broke down barriers, and became the first African-American to graduate. We celebrate his legacy. #BlackHistoryMonth https://t.co/tKss0QZ7vl
I am working on a letter to Speaker Pelosi asking her to bring the #GreenNewDeal up for a vote in the House. Although I disagree with this legislation I think members should let their constituents know where they stand. Dems and GOP should both look forward to the chance to vote.
