My colleagues and I sent a letter to the Speaker seeking assistance for zoos, aquariums and museums nationwide, including our own San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, which employ thousands of people. https://t.co/ZfuEy2xo9o
We are asking to 1) expand the Paycheck Protection Program under the SBA to include larger nonprofit organizations, 2) allocate an additional $1 billion to support zoos, aquariums and museums, and 3) remove the cap on the universal charitable deduction provision in the CARES Act
These changes will help our zoos continue care for plants and animals, including many endangered species, as well as to continue scientific work during closures.
