I sent a letter to @TheJusticeDept with @RepJayapal and other colleagues urging the agency to strengthen its standards for bank mergers. DOJ's bank merger guidance should protect working people instead of ensuring profits for big banks. https://t.co/CKyyk8R4dP

Chicago’s environmental problems are closely tied to the persistent health, economic, and racial inequities that have developed over decades. That's why we need to enact @NRDems' Environmental Justice for All Act to help our communities thrive. https://t.co/GFMfrPi4x8
It’s no surprise that kids in my community are hospitalized for asthma three times more frequently than in other parts of Chicago. And in the middle of a pandemic, my community—which has been hit the hardest in the entire state— continues facing barriers to water access.
In 2020, Chicago still has an uneven and inequitable exposure to pollution and toxins across its neighborhoods. My neighborhood, Little Village, ranks at the 98th percentile in the U.S. for air pollution that causes cancer and other respiratory hazards.
Today in @NRDems we are discussing @RepRaulGrijalva & @RepMcEachin's #EnviroJusticeNow bill. I wholeheartedly support this bill. Everyone deserves a safe and healthy place to work, live, play, and learn. We need to robust action on #EnvironmentalJustice. https://t.co/MMobzb5pFn

Our future workforce within @HHSGov should reflect the people it serves. That's why I am proud to introduce the Expanding Representation at HHS Act of 2020 w/ @rosadelauro & @RepBonnie to establish an ‘Office of Minority and Women Inclusion’ at HHS. https://t.co/qaNOn9iIrC
