RT @RepEspaillat: Abolishing the filibuster isn’t radical. Letting our democracy die to protect it is what’s radical.
RT @RepEspaillat: So let me get this straight: when Democrats win there’s voter fraud, but when Republicans do it doesn’t exist?
RT @RepEspaillat: Your friendly reminder that Senate Republicans voted against protecting the right to vote yesterday.
RT @RepEspaillat: Abolishing the filibuster isn’t radical. Letting 18 states pass voter suppression laws is what’s radical.

We are united – and we won’t be fractured by racist attacks like these. Join us this coming Sunday, October 31st at 3pm at the Plaza de las Americas, located at 651 West 175th Street. We simply won’t stand for it, and we won’t be silent.
From attacks on @ydanis calling him undocumented, calling members of our media “corrupt”, and saying we don’t deserve to call our neighborhood Little Dominican Republic, “Quisqueya Heights” – these are all manifestations of it, and they must end.
Acts of xenophobia against the Dominican community and its leaders is increasing in New York City – and it’s simply unacceptable.
We are united – and we won’t be fractured by racist attacks like these. We simply won’t stand for it, and we won’t be silent.
Our forebearers contributed tremendously to the stability and well being of our city – and we will not accept unwarranted attacks against members of our community who have been pioneers and leaders in our diaspora.
The recent attacks against Councilmember @ydanis, and other leaders of the Dominican community – including the young Councilmembers yet to be sworn in – will be answered by our community. We will fight against any form of racism and xenophobia in our community.
RT @RepEspaillat: Let me get this straight: Republicans packed the Supreme Court with 50 votes, but we need 60 to protect voting rights?
