We are all struggling to stay inside. Millions have lost their jobs. Our front lines are overwhelmed. The best way to get through this is by staying home. Then rebuilding our economy together once we weather the storm. This stunt is putting lives at risk.https://t.co/pFf32Mgm3p

Another 5 million Americans have filed for unemployment. It’s clear that $1200 isn’t going to cut it. We need a direct stimulus that will actually cover the bills. Let’s pass $4K for everyone making under $100, $2k for those making over. Payment amounts must meet our reality.

7 years ago, Boston and our Commonwealth suffered an immense tragedy. We came together, we persevered, and showed resilience. On #OneBoston day, I’m thinking of those we lost, and the first responders who acted with bravery. We emerged from tragedy before, and will do so again.

We can’t wait and see. This is not temporary. Social distancing is projected to be our new normal. We need vote by mail. We need paid sick leave. We need healthcare for every American. We need protective equipment for every frontline worker. Let’s get to work.
