Stopped by an absolutely packed house at the Troy Community Center for the opening of Jeanne Stein Park! Jeanne Stein is a staple in the Troy community, and I am so proud to have secured some of the funding for her well-deserved honor. #MI11 https://t.co/ABZKSsEBn6
Honored to have the hardworking members of the Operating Engineers 324 on the #StevensTrain and promise to always use my voice for working people!
Congresswoman Stevens has been a reliable advocate & voice for working people. @OE_324 stands behind Congresswoman Stevens in her bid for re-election to #MI11 & will work tirelessly to help her win the August primary & get elected to a 3rd term in November." -Douglas W. Honored to be at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church to stand united in the face of racism and condemn it. Across the US, and more recently, from Birmingham to Buffalo, racist events are on the rise and it’s vital that we call out hate in all forms in our society. https://t.co/v05kVtzd1r
Wonderful to be with friends at State Rep. Kelly Breen’s re-election kick off at Grand Tavern in Farmington! It’s crucial we support candidates up and down the ballot who support women’s rights, public education, and democracy because these are all at stake. #MI11 https://t.co/YaTsI9hbfH

This year, we will celebrate our 246th-year as a nation. I hope my fellow conferees work with me to pass this legislation by Independence Day – to lay the foundation for the next century of American leadership. Michiganders can no longer afford for us to idle on this package.”
The one message I want to communicate to my fellow conferees – my top priority here is to get this done.
Americans need us to deliver on this package and shepherd our country into a new phase of leadership on the global stage and assert ourselves as the world leader in innovation and competition.
We don't have time to be politicking and distracting from the issues at hand. Our work on this committee is not to get “soundbites” and “gotcha headlines.”
it has dramatically impacted Michigan’s small to midsize manufacturers. We must work urgently to remedy this crisis not only for our automotive sector but to bring prices down for everyday Americans who use chips in everything from their smartphones to laptops to microwaves.
Since Michigan’s 11th District sent me to Congress, I have championed the innovation economy in my state - the heartland of the automotive industry. Every day, I wake up to headlines about the chip shortage. The impact of the CHIPS crisis is wide-ranging –
I am extremely alarmed by the lack of urgency from my Republican colleagues. It is imperative that we work together to pass this legislation immediately.
"Today was the first meeting of the Conference Committee of Bipartisan Innovation and Competitiveness Legislation. It marked an incredible start to the process, and I am so proud to be working with my colleagues from across the aisle and in the Senate.
RT @ninaturner: 49-51, codifying Roe fails in the Senate. No Manchin. No Collins. No Murkowski. 70% of Americans want Roe upheld. This is undemocratic.
Tonight, the House passed bipartisan legislation to provide Ukraine with additional military aid, support for their economy, and humanitarian assistance for food security. These resources will be critical in helping Ukraine defend not only its nation but democracy for the world.
And thank you, @PressSec, for your work. You served the American people with elegance and grace under some of the toughest circumstances in our history. Excited to see what you do next!
