The @LungAssociation poll finds that 72% of U.S. voters prefer zero-emission school buses in their community instead of diesel. I introduced the Clean School Bus Act & the Clean Commute for Kids Act to support initiatives like this in Connecticut. Let's get it done! https://t.co/A33aDYjzxk
@farrrian @ctblogger No, Hold me accountable! I expect it- I demand it! You sent me here to do the work, don’t me or give anybody a pass. I’m actually happy to be able to respond to this misleading article.
@bamilolem @ctblogger I wish there was more time for me to explain to ppl how really Congress works. I was astonished! The staff salaries are up to the Member- there is no automatic bump. I am intentional about bringing in new ppl and paying them fairly (even interns) because not every Member does.

The decision has unleashed a wave of voter restriction bills aimed at suppressing the rights of our most vulnerable populations, with more than 400 bills introduced at the state level this year.
Americans deserve equal opportunity to choose their elected leaders. I voted to pass the For The People Act (H.R.1), to expand access to the ballot, reduce the influence of money in politics, and implement anti-corruption measures.
While the House has responded to these actions by passing H.R. 1, the For The People Act, the Senate must do the same to restore these vital protections.
Today marks eight years since the Supreme Court handed down Shelby v. Holder, which gutted the most crucial portions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. https://t.co/2fmHmGRwnh

@SecBecerra came before @edlaborcmte to discuss priorities of @HHSGov. I expressed concern about flat funding in the Office of Minority Health & asked for a commitment to preventing chronic diseases. Great to hear confirmation that we are on the same page on this critical issue. https://t.co/snpVl5QHbi
