Just one year after the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was signed into law, it’s supporting 96 active projects in the Second District with over $800M in federal funding. This work creates good jobs and sets our towns up for long-term economic growth. https://t.co/XUamGwdxQS

I was proud to support their efforts to obtain the federal funding. Now that the work has paid off, I stopped by the Friendship School to hear more about how the grant will benefit students and families at LEARN's magnet schools in eastern CT. https://t.co/gqPVA603gM
Next stop: meeting our True Blue Team on the CT shoreline! Polls are open for 5 MORE HOURS! Have you voted yet?--click the link to find your polling location-->https://t.co/qjDG63xLIu https://t.co/r0ZIAW9aTz
Had to stop by the Frog City! Happy to see the lunch crowd out voting on this brisk Election Day. Less than 8 hours left til the polls close! Now on to Colchester. #election2022 https://t.co/QPudSefqgW
A federal Port Infrastructure Development Grant is heading to New London to help construct a new, modern port on the Thames River. My office worked alongside Mohawk Northeast for years to help them secure this grant. It's a huge win for New London and our region's economy! https://t.co/k2vIXeStcQ

Tremendous energy tonight in New London! Everyone is excited to get out the vote this weekend! Thanks to all who rallied with us and then joined us at a campaign staple--the New London #GOTV Dinner. 4 days to go! https://t.co/GLwVVWGU3K
"When I was Navy Secretary, I respected the clear & decisive role that Congress’s Constitutional responsibility to build and maintain a NAVY played in shipbuilding & security decisions. There are few people I respected more in Congress in that role than Joe Courtney."-Ray Mabus https://t.co/75nGAY95WK
Electric Boat is hosting "Walk-In Wednesdays" every week this month, except the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. https://t.co/AjGC5AsZ5n
There’s huge demand for skilled workers in eastern CT. One of the clearest signs is all the growth we’re seeing from increased submarine construction. I stopped by “Walk-In Wednesdays”—a weekly event at Electric boat to connect interest workers with available careers. https://t.co/zZpwUHptyV
The equipment will go a long way to keep firefighters safe when they’re responding to emergencies. This year, we worked with fire stations across the Second District to secure Assistance to Firefighters Grants. ⬇ https://t.co/ibBdsvzljN https://t.co/GirAAcSbMZ
Thank you to the @ColchesterDems for a great time at their annual Spaghetti Dinner! This year we honored @BrianSmithCT for his service to our state as he passes the torch to Chris Rivers for State Rep! https://t.co/Hx1lw0jCLd
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is taking projects that have long been on our town's “to-do” list and making them possible. In Vernon, the town is receiving IIJA funding to clean up the Daniels Mill for future development in Rockville. https://t.co/P7KpZgajC6

Happy 247th birthday to the @USNavy! It’s an honor to represent the Submariners, Sailors, and Navy veterans who call eastern CT home, and to serve as Chairman of the Seapower Subcommittee, advocating for all who wear our Navy’s uniform at home and in oceans across the globe. https://t.co/FE2dvNqMuO

Last month, @ENERGY announced a new round of available funding for communities interested in hosting interim storage sites for spent nuclear fuel – part of an on-going process at DOE I helped kick-start to move spent fuel out of Haddam and Waterford. ⬇️ https://t.co/OVzkCxDdsq
Happy to announce that I have been endorsed by @UPFFACt and @IAFFofficial. Appreciate all who joined us today at the New London fire station. I will continue supporting our local firefighters and helping them secure the necessary resources to keep our #CT02 communities safe. https://t.co/jdT1Ot9LmZ
Thank you to the @hebrondems & @WaterfordDems for organizing such great events over the weekend! https://t.co/XnTKZo1dRc
The site of the future National Coast Guard Museum is getting ready for construction to kick-off.➡️ Proud to support this years-long effort every step of the way and will keep it up as work moves forward in New London. https://t.co/TbpHQemvAm
Recently our district’s battle against crumbling foundations reached a major milestone: 600 foundations repaired. This was a true team effort, with federal, state, and local agencies and grassroots partners working together. https://t.co/pzQspRVvjh https://t.co/qkrp2RPzEB
David and Sherri are Navy veterans themselves, and they draw on that experience to assist others on issues related to care and benefits. My office helps to connect CT-02 veterans with the services and benefits they’ve earned. Give us a call at (860) 886-0139.
We’ve got amazing public servants across eastern CT who serve our veteran community. This week, David Macaffrey and Sherri Marquis of the Somers Veterans Affairs Department received well-deserved Community Service awards in recognition of their tireless work. https://t.co/X3E3mQFEeV

Thousands of public servants in CT have taken advantage of the limited #PSLF waiver and had millions in student loans forgiven. The waiver expires on October 31st. Don’t wait to apply. https://t.co/DneeDlL3p3 https://t.co/vsyJkqvjeP
An important piece of our transition to clean energy is decarbonizing our transportation sector. Excited to share that Southeast Area Transit is receiving $20 million to help transition to zero-emission busses—thanks to the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. https://t.co/BVjASnNeAt
I’ll work with anyone who’s serious about getting things done for eastern Connecticut. This year, @CongressmanGT and I teamed up to introduce the School Milk Nutrition Act—a bipartisan bill to give a boost to dairy farmers and get kids nutritious milk options in school lunches. https://t.co/fL4LVglDKH
Today, he works as the School Resource Officer at Simsbury High School and volunteers as the director of the Simsbury Police Cadets. Thank you for your service, Trevor, and congratulations on a well-deserved retirement.
This month, we’re celebrating the distinguished 25-year career of CT Army National Guard member Sergeant First Class Trevor Brittell. SFC Brittell served our nation over 2 tours in the Middle East & trained National Guard members at the Regional Training Center in Camp Niantic. https://t.co/qNoYNi8sgl
After returning home, Merchant Marines were shockingly denied benefits in the G.I. Bill and from the VA. They also did not receive proper recognition from the U.S. Government for their service to our military and our allies.
It was a privilege to present a long-overdue Congressional Gold Medal to WWII Merchant Marine Russell Inzinga. Russell was one of nearly 250,000 Merchant Marines who undertook the dangerous mission of transporting troops through German U-boat infested and air patrolled waters. https://t.co/5DZZo0NZnx
In 2020, we passed the WWII Merchant Marines Congressional Gold Medal Act and presented the Gold Medal to all Merchant Marines at a ceremony last Spring. The past weekend, at 101 years old, Russell finally received his medal from the nation he bravely served 80 years prior.
Today marks 1 year since @RepGallagher, @RepDerekKilmer, @RepBlakeMoore, and I founded the AUKUS Working Group. We’ve already started to see results, and we’ll keep pressing ahead in bipartisan fashion.
A “little” rain couldn't stop the Columbia DTC from hosting a phenomenal ice cream social yesterday! It was great to see my friends and colleagues @SusanForCT, @CathyOsten, @StephanieforCT, & Mary Ann Hansen! Thank you for the delicious ice cream and thanks to all who joined us! https://t.co/KRYZxkxh2y
Thank you to all who joined including my friends and colleagues @StephanieforCT, @FaroukRajab, and the Plainfield DTC! https://t.co/KcW4fqgCRw
Proud to support the work of local manufacturers like Columbia as Chairman of Seapower and on the @EdLaborCmte through support for the federally funded manufacturing workforce skills training programs they rely on.
Had a great visit to Columbia Manufacturing, a CT-02 manufacturer supporting U.S. defense & aerospace industries. Much of the aircraft they produce parts for—the F-15, F-16, and more—are authorized by our Seapower Subcommittee. https://t.co/Gi3xwVwnGs

Over the weekend I visited the 93rd Annual Italian Festival at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Enfield. While there we heard from members of the small business community, spoke with voters, and of course Audrey and I sampled some delicious fried calamari! https://t.co/3ngga3UsAr
Thank you to former Enfield Police Chief Carl Sferrazzato, Father Anthony Bruno, and others who put this great community event together. I had a fantastic time!
Had a fantastic time connecting with our first responders at Vernon's National Night Out! Thank you to our firefighters, police officers, EMTs; I will always support those who keep us safe. Looking forward to next year’s event! https://t.co/F5FB5mwkmC
From inside a converted fire station, Steny fired up a true blue crowd that included @SusanForCT, @ErickRussellCT, @SeanScanlonCT, @StephanieforCT, and others. https://t.co/HY1CAEBNed
Members of Congress shouldn’t trade stocks while in office. I've long supported this idea—no matter what party someone is from—and I’m glad to see it moving forward. It will people have confidence that elected officials are making decisions for our country, not their portfolios. https://t.co/AfVISwcPJl
