@alexismcgill said it best: “The people of Washington do not want politicians interfering with their private decisions.” https://t.co/soExjcckIR
The Republican abortion bans across the country have already created a health care crisis. As Chair of @HELPCmteDems, I will never shy away from shedding on light on how dangerous this is for women and families. https://t.co/wMDFLwTPCZ
This decision is extreme and out-of-touch with the mainstream American public. It underscores why it’s absolutely essential Congress passes bold policies that deliver a historic investmentclimate action and clean energy. https://t.co/RC7GwgUPBK
I’m fighting here in the Senate to make sure women can get an abortion and make their own health care decisions. But we need bold leadership from @POTUS too. Today, @SenWarren again called on him do everything he can in this fight. https://t.co/uHQp6nN4kd

That means even in states like mine, where the right to abortion is protected, Senate Republicans want to make sure women from Seattle to New York can’t make their own health care decisions. Not on my watch. Today’s vote will make sure Republicans show their true colors.

We’ve got to make sure veterans harmed by toxic exposures during their service to our country get the care they deserve—it’s part of our commitment. At today’s @SVACDem hearing, I asked @SecVetAffairs about the legislation we’re considering to strengthen that commitment. https://t.co/790QzWRt1x
I worked early in the pandemic to support families—& right now, I’m focused on lowering costs across the board so they have more money to make ends meet and save for the future. But we've also got to take steps to enhance people’s emergency savings & retirement security.
You can also call 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489) to order at-home COVID tests over the phone if you are having issues with the website or need additional support.
Having rapid COVID-19 tests on hand is a good way to make sure you and your family can test quickly after you've been exposed or have symptoms—and starting this week, each home is eligible for 4 free rapid tests a month. Click below to order. https://t.co/TAiDGSJXXV
RT @RepSusanDavis: Every summer, 90,000 San Diego children lose access to free or reduced-cost lunches they would get in school. I reintroduced legislation with @PattyMurray to close this gap and put an end to summer hunger. https://t.co/T1vMxQpRIz https://t.co/iuEQKAqeeU
And from the very start, low and middle income families will spend even less or nothing at all (!!) on child care. This means a family of four making $151,000 in WA state would save $164 per week on child care.
If you’re a working parent who needs child care, the #BuildBackBetter plan will make a drastic difference in your life. As we ramp up, a family of 4 in WA state that makes less than $254,000 dollars/year, won’t spend more than 7% of their income toward child care. https://t.co/Zhv353k7li
We are the only developed country in the world that doesn’t have paid leave—and it’s a disgrace. I joined @PaidLeaveforAll today to make the case that now is the time to pass paid leave, and I’m not going to stop until we do. https://t.co/pvrwJ22KuC

This bold plan is good for people with disabilities and older Americans, good for caregivers, and good for our economy—and I’ll be fighting as hard as I can to get it across the finish line so we can finally address our nation's caregiving crisis. https://t.co/YvqLSv72EU
LIVE: I’m chairing a Senate HELP Committee hearing on supporting the needs of students in higher education during COVID-19 and safely returning to campus as we build back fairer and stronger. https://t.co/MZ0h9Wl0Gw
