The ruling also sided with Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting, a useful resource in rural areas — including among Native populations — when polling places are harder to reach and mail service isn’t always consistent.

In a separate ruling today, the Supreme Court decided in a California case that political donors have a "right" to anonymity. This decreases transparency in politics and allows a handful of wealthy Americans to disguise who’s really pulling the strings.

If you didn’t already believe that the right to vote was under attack, today confirms that our fight is just beginning. We must protect the right to vote. #ForThePeople #JohnLewisVotingRightsAct

If you are a registered voter, you deserve to have your voice heard. I am deeply disappointed in today’s partisan rulings that will undoubtedly pave the path for even more voting restriction laws in states disappointed with the results of recent elections.

In Gwinnett County alone, there are over 150 voting precincts that are often subject to change between elections, causing voters to show up at the wrong location. Today’s SCOTUS ruling holds up an Arizona law declaring that votes cast in the wrong precinct can be tossed out.

Plain and simple: #SB202 is a voter suppression law aimed at making it harder to vote for certain, targeted demographics. This lawsuit from the @TheJusticeDept reaffirms that any effort to suppress access to the ballot will be met with action. https://t.co/y6qaq5L6SA

@GeorgiaDOL, it’s time for some answers. Today, I led my colleagues in a letter to demand information on the outrageous backlog in processing Georgia’s unemployment claims, and the state’s inability to provide basic data about the disaster. READ: https://t.co/FBH76bLVD4

In March I was the first freshman to have a bill signed into law. Now I've got a whole list of legislation introduced to improve our suburban infrastructure, expand public transit, and to take on the climate crisis. Let's get these passed and tackle on our biggest challenges .
