.@DFWAirport, a huge engine for job creation, received funding for two projects. $5 million to help replace deficient flyover ramps. And $5 million to build a new utility plant and replace its piping distribution system -- helping to reach its goals of Net Carbon Zero by 2030.
To meet the growing demand for care and services for the aging LGBTQ population in North Texas, @ResourceCtr was allocated $1,000,000 for the construction of an LGBTQ-friendly affordable senior housing facility.
.@SMU also was allocated $900,000 to create a program to help students experiencing learning loss in Dallas ISD schools through augmented reality, virtual reality and game-based learning.
The @SMU Human Trafficking Project was allocated $1,187,000 to address the deficiencies in data collection and analysis needed to effectively fight human trafficking in Texas.
.@Childrens was allocated $850,000 for the creation of a Pediatric Mental Health Center to help serve an estimated 600,000 North Texas children who face mental health issues.
