The Capitol siege on Jan. 6 was not just an attack on the building and the people who work there; it was a concerted, organized effort to undermine our democracy and steal an election. The immediate threat to the Capitol was repelled, but the threat to our democracy remains.

Later today, we will release the final language of Congress’s new Covid relief deal. This package should have been delivered months ago and there’s much missing from the final agreement. But right now, it’s better to be late than to never pass a bill.
