ALL TRAVIS COUNTY VOTERS CAN VOTE BY MAIL Here is the ruling: https://t.co/rBbDUeNmgz If you fear injury due to COVID-19 exposure and want to vote this year, request a vote by mail ballot and claim disability: https://t.co/HcuBmV4i6H QT @alexazura: It's official: Texas district judge has signed order allowing voters to request mail-in ballots using disability ex… https://t.co/yAPfUcJ7hq)

I've spoken with Texas organizers from @IBEW and @steelworkers, and a major concern is workplace safety. Regulations require PPE and social distancing, but OSHA doesn't have the resources to perform inspections. Before we open up, we need safe work places.

Some bad news in Texas. A huge liability in the near future. There is a solution: support the Paycheck Guarantee Act by @RepJayapal would keep folks employed and off unemployment. It’s the right thing for workers and the right thing for states. https://t.co/XamXMQie7q

The impact of #COVID19 is a case study in American injustice. We see the fault lines—race, class, geography, disability, status—and how infection rates mirror social privilege. We must dismantle these systems of oppression, now and in the days to come. https://t.co/KRs1FfmTik

Because of limited testing, we don't know how bad things are in Houston. Based on hospital admissions, and w/10% hospitalization rate of COVID-19 patients, we may have 10s of 1000s of infected people, not just the 950 reported cases. #StayHomeSaveLives https://t.co/nBjA0M7Clx

The GOP's racist attacks on the Chinese people are unacceptable. See our statement below, condemning @RepMcCaul for repeating this dangerous rhetoric. This is all a distraction, of course — from the Trump Administration's catastrophic failure to manage the coronavirus crisis. https://t.co/h6v3hKQYn1

The solution, to give clarity, to protect public health, and to protect our most fundamental right in a democracy—the right to vote—is for the Governor to declare an emergency. And state that all of us are “disabled” and can vote by mail, for as long as the emergency exists. 4/

Please circulate this petition: Demand that Gov. Abbott declare an emergency due to the coronavirus. In order to protect voting rights, Gov. Abbott must allow any voter to vote-by-mail, for upcoming May elections and for as long as the emergency exists. https://t.co/yEQdJyLtBj

We are all in this together. It’s often hard for us to realize this essential fact. One of our most ancient stories—of Noah’s ark—is an allegory for humanity, how we are mutually dependent. We are only as strong as our weakest link. #MedicareForAll https://t.co/KGtgXwhgom
