The House-passed #Heroes Act would protect Americans from price gouging during the #COVID19 pandemic. It gives @FTC and State attorneys general the authority to seek civil penalties from those engaging in price gouging of goods and services. The House-passed #HeroesAct is exactly the kind of federal response we need to contain the virus and get people back to work. It mandates a national testing and contact tracing plan. It also extends the $600 unemployment benefit and delivers another of stimulus checks.
Instead of issuing unilateral degrees, Trump should work with Congress to pass a comprehensive bill that matches the severity of the coronavirus pandemic and economic downturn so we can end this public health crisis and get people back to work.
New Jersey’s fishing communities dedicate their lives to putting food on our tables and now it’s time for us to ensure there’s food on theirs. Read more here: https://t.co/PHvk4xGYAd
Today, @RepAndyKim and I led a bipartisan call with our NJ colleagues for funding to help the fishing industry in the next coronavirus relief package. The commercial and recreational fishing industry in New Jersey has felt the devastating economic impacts of the pandemic.
The United States should not be aiding and abetting a reckless, autocratic state like Azerbaijan for any reason, especially not when it threatens a democratic partner like Armenia.
I sent a letter with Armenian Caucus leaders @RepAdamSchiff, @RepBilirakis, and @RepSpeier to @SecPompeo and @EsperDoD requesting the Trump Administration hold Azerbiajan accountable for violence along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. https://t.co/hRSwYKMKzv
In case @AAWheeler hasn’t noticed, we are in the depths of a pandemic, one which preys on those with respiratory illnesses and has shown to be even more dangerous for #EnvironmentalJustice communities. This proposal violates EPA’s duty to protect human health and the environment. QT @washingtonpost: EPA rejects tougher air quality standards, says 2015 limits are sufficient https://t.co/tsQ1nzCv8J)
The Senate GOP must pass the Heroes act which provides $25 billion in funding for the @USPS. I stand strong with the American Postal Workers Union as they continue to fight efforts to privatize and dismantle the USPS. https://t.co/HyPU7hXXM0

Abortion services have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Another reason why I support the Women’s Health Protection Act which ensures that patients can access, and health care providers can provide, abortion services. https://t.co/SnT6XMQAul
Congress must reign in the power of the Executive Branch. Our Founding Fathers feared a monarchy ruled by a king. That is precisely why they created three equal branches of government and a robust system of checks and balances. https://t.co/T7RABsqcbU
Limitations on Memorial Day activities may give more of an opportunity to think about the significance of the holiday for our democracy. https://t.co/KgNYZ7wJn3
Trump needs to put pressure on the Senate Republican majority to take up the House passed Heroes Act, which includes another $1,200 stimulus check for most Americans. https://t.co/KgNYZ7wJn3
.@GovMurphy is protecting the health New Jerseyans during this crisis. Shame on the national and state GOP for blindly following Trump’s irresponsible push to reopen our economy without safeguards. https://t.co/Ww6jnclrJL
UPDATE: @NJLaborDep has begun to review unemployment claims exhausted since July 2019 for eligibility for 13 weeks of federal Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation. The Department will begin to notify eligible claimants this week. https://t.co/hjPbGFfzSF
