The 11 @MaineSBDC throughout our district helped almost 3,000 Mainers last year with their businesses, creating or protecting nearly 1,000 jobs in that time. My bill would help bring SBDC services to even more small businesses in our state.

The judge’s decision acts on arguments that lobstermen have made for years: there i not hard data to suggest that ME lobster gear is killing right whales. Implementing this closure would cause serious economic damage to lobstering communities w/o demonstrated impact on whales. 2/
