These funds will enable young people in Cordova and Sitka to have hands-on opportunities to grow their own locally-grown produce that will be served in their schools. Learning how to grow food and having more fresh, nutritious produce – a win-win.
Congratulations to Cordova’s Farm to School partnership and to the Sitka School District and Sitka Tribe of Alaska for winning federal Farm to School Grants! https://t.co/qUM734t9ng
As long-time supporter of Covenant House Alaska, I am grateful to see strong partnerships across our state formed in support of this worthy cause. This milestone and the benefit it will bring many young Alaskans is a remarkable accomplishment.
I was honored to join a ground breaking ceremony hosted by @CovenantHouseAk, in a partnership with @CIHousing, to celebrate 22 new on-site “micro-unit” apartments at the Covenant House Youth Engagement Center. https://t.co/mttRaIZNNq

Glad to meet with @UA_System President Pat Pitney and former Alaska Governor Sean Parnell in his new role as @UAAnchorage Chancellor. Their insight on the needs of the University is appreciated as I continue my work to support the future of higher education in Alaska. https://t.co/JHBEqq61Lb
As I continue conversations with the Senate HELP Committee about what we’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and how we can become better prepared for the future, hearing firsthand from Alaskans about their needs and priorities is invaluable. https://t.co/2aJDfP1EQ3
I recently visited the Kanakanak Community Health Clinic in Dillingham to discuss their pandemic response efforts—which included their altered processes for patient intake, modified surge plan, and the success they had treating patients with high flow nasal cannulas. https://t.co/PtTERNJA7i
I ran across a road sign with the “Alaska state bird” while driving through Interior. #OnlyInAlaska https://t.co/IAPlEJbon8
