It was great marching with the Story County Democrats today in Ames! I wish everyone a good and safe July 4th.

The oligarchy has decided to get theirs while they can without regard for anyone else. Our social contract has always been vulnerable, but now we have a lot more people in power that don’t give a damn about anyone else. This hasn’t been the first time. There’s no guaranteed end.

@ChronicHope_DC A fetus and a baby are not the same thing. But let’s think about how this impacts women. Do you know how to determine if one induces their own abortion vs. when a woman has a miscarriage? No. So, women would have to worry about going to the doctor for treatment. Scary.

@Rank8000Burner We’re already paying for a system that doesn’t cover everyone, massively overcharges us, takes our money to furnish big marketing departments, and leaves us with one if the worst infant mortality rates among industrialized nations. And our premiums go to private companies.
