Catherine Bellah Keller is the Deputy General Counsel for Strategic Initiatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She joined the U.S. Department of Commerce from Latham & Watkins LLP. At Latham, Ms. Keller represented companies with respect to securities matters and capital markets transactions as well as other compliance and regulatory matters. Prior to Latham, she was counsel at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a global investment management firm. Before joining Dimensional, Ms. Keller was an attorney at international law firms, counseling companies on a variety of issues and transactions. After graduating from law school, Ms. Keller served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William Garwood of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Ms. Keller received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated as Vice Chancellor (second in her class) and served as Research Editor of the Texas Law Review. She also holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond.
