Deborah Cox-Roush was appointed as Director, Senior Corps and White House Liaison for the Corporation for National and Community Service in June 2017. Prior to this appointment, she served as Special Assistant to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, resulting in her relocation to the Washington DC area. Deborah brings years of experience in working and coordinating volunteer organizations and efforts throughout the nation. She recently served as the Assistant Director of Public Events, Volunteer Coordinator for the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee and was an integral part of the planning of this historic event. She was responsible for a staff of six and a professional volunteer staff of 25 persons with over 5000 volunteers. Deborah oversaw logistics, planning, scheduling, and event planning for Public Events volunteers located throughout the District of Columbia. Prior to moving to Washington D.C., she served as the Florida State Grassroots Director for Donald J. Trump for President and was instrumental in implementing a successful ground game, oversaw 27 campaign offices which resulted in bringing home a Florida victory for President Trump. Working closely with Team Trump Florida, she was responsible for get out the vote efforts and oversaw more than 70,000 grassroots volunteers statewide.
