Bio, via Balch & Bingham LLP:
Mr. Cunningham’s practice focuses on energy policy. He has extensive experience representing electric utilities on regulatory, legislative and appellate litigation matters pertaining to electric transmission and distribution, utility telecommunications, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. On Capitol Hill, Mr. Cunningham served as counsel to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. While serving on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, Mr. Cunningham was the lead negotiator and primary drafter for electricity and energy efficiency provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2003. Mr. Cunningham began his legal career at Balch in 2001 where he represented electric utility companies in regulatory, legislative and litigation matters relating to federal energy and environmental laws. From 2005 to 2013, he practiced energy law at Hunton & Williams LLP.
