Augustine was an associate counsel to President George W. Bush and also served as a senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary during the Bush administration. After graduating from Vanderbilt Law, Augustine was a law clerk for Judge John Hargrove of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and then joined Covington & Burling. She has also taught on the adjunct faculty at George Mason University Law School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University before earning her law degree at Vanderbilt.
