We could lose if this continues

Obama - Biden

Well, I've got some good news and some bad news.

Good news first: June was our best fundraising month yet. We exceeded expectations -- more than 706,000 people like you stepped up and pitched in for a grand total of $X million raised for this campaign and the Democratic Party.

Bravo. That's seriously impressive.

Bad news? We still got beat. Handily. Romney and the RNC pulled in a whopping $X million.

So, to recap: We had our best fundraising month yet, and we still fell about $X million short. We can win while being outspent -- but we need to keep it close.

You know what that means. We've got some work to do.

Pitch in $X or more right now to start closing the gap.

This is no joke. If we can't keep the money race close, it becomes that much harder to win in November.

But this election isn't about how much money our campaigns can raise -- none of us would be fighting this hard just to win a money war. We're here because we believe in something bigger -- because none of us wants to see this country go back to the policies that drove our economy into a ditch, which is exactly what the other side wants to do.

Whatever it is that brings you to this fight, what happens next is up to you. Donate today:

Bad news? We still got beat. Handily. Romney and the RNC pulled in a

You know what that means. We've got some work to do.

Pitch in $3 or more right now to start closing the gap.

Good news and bad news

The good news: June was our best fundraising month

of the campaign so far, exceeding all of our expectations.

More than 706,000 people supported our organization last

month. All told, our campaign, along with the Democratic Party

ended June with $X million to put to work.

The bad news: We still got beat. Romney announced today

that his campaign, combined with the GOP, brought

in more than $X million. We're behind again -- and the gap

is getting wider.

The fate of this election could be decided before voting

even starts:

[url]

We have momentum, excitement on the ground, and

more grassroots donors and volunteers than any

campaign in history. But our opponent has an

unprecedented money-for-influence machine geared

towards funneling big contributions to his campaign,

the Republican Party, and a network of super PACs

and anonymous front groups.

There's too much at stake right now to fall behind. Think

about what a Romney presidency would mean for the things

we've fought for -- like Obamacare, which he says he'll "kill"

on Day One. Like the kind of economy we believe in,

where everyone gets a fair shake and plays by the same

rules.

Each of us has to do our part to close this fundraising gap --

can you step today?

We're getting our first reports in about Mitt Romney's high-priced

fundraiser with one of the Koch brothers yesterday.

This is what one donor had to say about Democrats:

"I don't think the common person is getting it… they don't understand

what's going on.

I just think if you're lower income one, you're not as educated, two,

they don't understand how it works."

This is the kind of thinking that we're up against in this election.

If you don’t think our country should be run by people who think you need

a yacht for your opinion to count, then now's the time to show it:

Please donate $X or more right now to beat out-of-touch Republicans

Thank you,

Kelly

The numbers are in

image: Democrats --

Our fundraising numbers from June are in. Along with President Obama's

campaign, we raised $X million, making this month our biggest yet. That's

something to be proud of.

But we still got beat. Mitt Romney and the Republican Party raised more

than $X million -- making it the second month in a row that they

outraised us, this time by $X million.

That's a big gap. And if we don't do everything we can to close it now, we

risk losing more than just a fundraising race in November.

Donate $X or more today to close the

gap.

Donations from Democrats like you are directly helping us at all levels

across the country.

Over the last three months, your donations have helped us:

-- Continue to open field offices in all 50 states, including our 30th

field office in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

-- Hold nationwide voter registration drives and register hundreds of

thousands of people.

-- Organize the National Youth Summit, which gave more than 1,000 young

people the tools to organize in neighborhoods and on their college campuses.

-- Run a four-day, six-state "Romney Economics: The Middle Class Under the

Bus" tour highlighting Romney's failed economic record and vision -- which

received an astounding amount of local press coverage, showing that

exposing Romney's record is working.

We're working hard to make sure Democratic candidates win in November, but

we've got an uphill battle if Romney and the Republicans continue to

outraise us at such a pace. While Mitt Romney and the Republicans rely on

mostly big donors to fund their campaigns, in June alone, more than 700,000

donors stepped up to support the DNC and Obama campaign.

We've got to do everything we can to put a stop to the Republican momentum

-- so donate $X or whatever you can to close the gap. It can't wait another

day:
