Mitt Romney's promise to repeal Obamacare is something my husband and I worry about literally every day. As the mother of a child with a pre-existing condition, I know just what is at stake.
Obamacare is saving her life. Zoe was born with a congenital heart defect she had her first open heart surgery when she was only 15 hours old, and her second a few months later. At just six months old, Zoe had reached half of her lifetime cap on her health insurance, which would have left us unable to pay for her care and future surgeries required for her to survive.
So the day that I received a letter from my insurance company telling me that, thanks to Obamacare, Zoe's lifetime cap had been removed was one of the most emotional of my life.
It's up to all of us to speak up for Obamacare and everything else at stake so if you can, I'd like to ask you to please donate $X or more to support President Obama and Democrats.
I'm supporting President Obama and Democrats 100 percent, and not just because the prospect of what would happen to my family if we lose is unthinkable. I know there are people who think the stakes aren't high in this election, or who think their donation won't make a difference.
