Patient Pathways Through This ER

After a patient arrives at the emergency room, they are typically seen by a doctor and then either sent home or admitted to the hospital and taken to a room. A small percentage of patients leave without being seen at all. The chart below shows on average how long each of these pathways take. Lower numbers are better, and all times refer to the average length of time people waited. Find out more »

Detailed Quality Measures

Here is a more in depth look at each quality measure, compared to state and national averages for hospitals with high volumes. Experts caution that very small differences between hospitals for a given measure are unlikely to correspond to noticeable differences in the real world.

Notes: "Average time" refers to the median waiting time (the midpoint of all patients' waiting times). References to "doctor" indicate a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. CMS reports the CT scan quality measure as the percentage of patients who received a scan within 45 minutes. We have reversed that measure so that all measures follow a "lower is better" pattern.

I have always been using Pali momi hospital since it's closer to my home .last night ER visit was a fail I came in for dizziness and vomiting after triage the nurse ask me to wait in the waiting room after an hour and a half of waiting with no update what is going on and I'm the only patient left in the waiting room I ask my husband to take me home obviously nobody seems to care how long you've been waiting .the best thing about that fail ER visit are the valet concierge offering me water which I desperately need since my mouth is dry from vomiting.

I have been to this hospital's emergency room several times for issues with chronic pain. I have always been seen almost immediately upon arriving. The nurses are always courteous. The doctors are thorough, and professional. I always recieved my pain medication within 20 minutes of being seen by the doctor. I highly recommend this hospital.
