@SilverSmithMama @Yascha_Mounk Yes anti-Blackness is absolutely factor and it is w/in our own Latino communities. My grandmother Marta was Dominican, highly melanated, my grandfather was Chilean and not. We discussed colorism in my family and the prejudice my abuela dealt within her own community.
